Scale-up inside R&D is not the same as a production pilot. Volumes are smaller, campaigns are shorter, and the glassware may be reconfigured weekly. Custom prototypes are appropriate; we will not pretend a prototype is a validated production design. Technical review looks at whether the sketch can be made. Quality check still compares the piece to that sketch.
